Dirk Dagger now available on N-Gage
The N-Gage platform's first ever adventure game Dirk Dagger And The Fallen Idol is now available to download through the N-Gage application. If you can't see it in the app's showroom, click on "Options" and then "Update Now". If you still can't see it, click on "Available Games".
Dirk Dagger and the Poochie Predicament
As some of you may already know, there's an excellent hidden comic book on the official Dirk Dagger website which details one of Dirk's earlier adventures: The Poochie Predicament. Now Nokia have released a semi-animated version of the comic which you can view by clicking on the headline of this news item.

Mind the gap with N-Gage and FIFA08
There's a new promo site for N-Gage and FIFA08 which takes place on the London Underground, featuring various Dom Joly-esque mini-sketches. FIFA08 is still free for people in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom, so head on over to the site to get your free copy. N-Gage down for maintenance on Thursday 14th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of August (UPDATED)
UPDATE: The N-Gage platform and N-Gage website will be switched off for maintenance work on Thursday the 14th of August between 8 PM and Midnight GMT/UTC as well as brief interruptions on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of August. Don't worry if you can't access N-Gage during this week, they're just doing some repair work on it, and it should be fully working again by Monday. You should be able to play your games offline, but you may experience problems with anything that involves the internet such as online gaming, game purchasing etc.

Nokia's arguably missed a trick by not promoting Reset Generation's embedding ability, which lets you put the entire full game (including multiplayer online) on your own blog or site using a tiny bit of HTML code. The Megascreen: Snake on 3000 computers
After creating the world's largest human snake earlier this year, the fun continues at N-Gage's marketing department as they put the game Snake and some other titles on three thousand computers at the Assembly 2008 happening in Helsinki (or at least the press release talks about 3000 computers, the video only mentions 975).
