All About N-Gage - Next Generation Ready

Project White Rock Testers Addicted?

Published by Ewan Spence at 15:56 GMT, November 29th 2007

With a veil of secrecy around it that rivals the darkness of Apple’s PR department, Project White Rock, the multiplayer experience for N-Gage due out mid 2008 has had good feedback from the testers (according to this report on Pocket Gamer). If the testing team, who get the 'most repetitive job in the world' award want more, then this bodes well for Nokia.

Of course this could all be a cunning PR ruse to remind people that while we know as much about Project White Rock as an octopus knows about the peak of Mount Everest, we have to remember that "it is going to be mind blowingly, amazingly, stupendously awesome, and would you mind writing that?"

There’s a pack of dogs from Pavlov here that are more than happy to oblige.

sounds like a purposefully leaked memo to me, pre hype

This secrecy isn't actually new, all the first party releases on the original N-Gage were kept fairly tightly under wraps until they were almost ready for release.

Hardly anyone knew what Pathway To Glory or Glimmerati would actually be like until near their release date.
