Hexxagon Labs: a space age Othello?

Come to think of it, wasn't there some sort of similar game called chinese chequers? I can't remember the rules so I don't know how close it is to hexxagon labs...

that was about moving from one area to another with all your pegs by either stepping to neighbouring fields or jumping over neighbouring pegs.
