N-Gage developer list points to unannounced first party games

Nokia's recently relaunched developer site N-Gage Insider has a list labelled "our developers" which apparently includes all of Nokia's current first party game devs. Four of the companies listed haven't any games announced on N-Gage so far, yet there they are on the list, which suggests their titles are in development but so far unannounced.

The companies on the list are (click on a link to see their site):

Digital Legends Entertainment

Firemint Studios

FloodGate Entertainment

Gamelion Creative Studio

Gameware Development

Ideaworks3D

Infinite Dreams

Jadestone

Method Solutions

Q Entertainment

Rovio

Most of the companies are involved with announced first party N-Gage games: Digital Legends are doing "One", Gameware are doing "Creebies", Ideaworks3d have done many games including "System Rush Evolution", Infinite Dreams have done "Creatures Of The Deep", Jadestone are doing "Dirk Dagger", Method Solutions have done "Space Impact Kappa Base" and Rovio are doing "Bounce Boing Voyage".

That leaves Firemint, FloodGate, Gamelion and Q Entertainment on the list but without any announced N-Gage games to their name. If they're doing first party games then the titles they've already published probably won't be appearing on N-Gage, because first party games usually involve brand new franchises owned by Nokia.

Q Entertainment is perhaps the most intriguing because they're in Japan, and they have a fairly distinguished history in Japanese portable gaming. Amongst other things, they did Lumines for the PSP and Meteos for the Nintendo DS.

Q Entertainment also did Ninety Nine Nights for the Xbox 360, and they're doing an MMORPG for the PS3 and PCs called Angel Love. Personally I'm very very interested to see what they plan on doing for N-Gage, as they have plenty of experience on both phones and consoles.

I'm pretty sure Firemint is responsible for the upcoming World Rally Championship game. Dunno about the other developers.

Also Gamelion did the FIFA 08 game although it's not publicly known
(see this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=casznwsYzgQ and this http://www.game-lion.com/games/fifa08/)

Also that previous post was mine.

More info on the WRC 4 N-Gage here: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/N%2DG...y+championship
Also the review for the mobile game: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Mobil...iew.asp?c=4215 (the N-Gage version will probably be very similar since this Java version is already in 3D)

Gamelion also did the Global Race game for smartphones which came free with the E90.

However, all of the companies listed with a known publishing history on N-Gage have made first party titles (COTD, Space Impact, System Rush, Creebies, Dirk Dagger etc), which implies that the other ones are working on first party titles too.

Of course the devs could also do third party as well as first party, Ideaworks did loads of third party ports before System Rush, and they're currently working on a port of Metal Gear Solid for N-Gage.

its interesting to see Q Entertainment on that list as they have done a few decent titles on 360 (N3), DS (Gunpey) , PSP (Lumines) and XBLA (E4) - so an N-Gage title from them should be good - plus majority of the games they have made i have really enjoyed.

maybe we might see an N-Gage Version of Lumies or E4 :D

N-Gage version of Lumines will be awesome. I really enjoyed the mobile version by Gameloft.

I don't think it will be Lumines, because all of the devs on that list have done first party titles for N-Gage, so that would probably mean some kind of new franchise.

IMHO a totally new game series would be even more interesting than just another port of a popular title.
